Meet people from your virtual tribe

How many times have you met your contacts from Flickr, Myspace or LinkedIn?

Imity will support integration with partners through dynamic objects. Imity objects will allow social networks of any kind to use Imity as a platform for physical real-life support of their web application.

Imity objects comes in two flavours;
  • a basic free Imity object which matches in real life two social network users with eachother based on their mutual affiliation, and
  • a dynamic premium Imity object which allows two social network users to dynamically view and interact with eachother's virtual profiles.

The basic object can be created and issued by a social network to support the discovery of other social network users in real life. When, for example, two LinkedIn users pass by each other in real life, their Imity handsets buzz to alert them both of each other's presence.

For dynamic viewing of and interaction with a user's social network profile, the viewing user must be a premium Imity object subscriber. Viewing includes anything that the social network chooses to make public, including profile pictures, blog or scrapbook entries, and how users might be connected.

Also, a user who has a premium Imity objects subscription can always chose to make his social network profile visible, no matter whether the viewing Imity user has a premium Imity object or not.

Both the basic and dynamic Imity objects allow the social network to issue Imity badges on the users' profile pages.
